We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of regeneration to join a well-established organisation in Thurrock.This will be on an initial four-month contract.The role is Hybrid. As a result, the majority will be remote working. In addition to office visits twice per month.*This role is inside IR35 and therefore Umbrella contractors only will be considered*Knowledge of understanding mechanisms for:o External capital funding for regeneration programmeso Planning and regeneration deliveryo Analysing and prioritising need with a range of stakeholders.o Planning and joining resources to achieve effective services to meet agreed needo Monitoring the performance of the serviceOther Key Experience: * Experience of securing external funding for regeneration programmes and managing the successful delivery of regeneration programmes.* Experience of identifying and scoping new regeneration opportunities* Good negotiating and influencing skills at both strategic and operational levels.* Demonstrate ability to implement effective changes to operational delivery.* Ability to provide effective leadership to staff.* Ability to manage risk and prioritise* Ability to manage budgets and use financial information effectively.* Ability to work innovatively and effectively across internal and external boundaries with statutory, independent and voluntary and community sector partners.* The ability to assess commissioning strategies to ensure they are meeting local need.* Energy and enthusiasm.* Evaluating service impact and outcomes* Significant experience of managing staff in a public sector and social work setting.* Significant experience of managing change and driving improvements through performance.* Experience of managing budgets within a volatile context.* Significant experience of working with and advising and negotiating with senior managers in a complex organisation.* Substantial experience of strategic planning or service development.* Experience of developing consultation techniques and community involvement approaches.* Experience of using both qualitative and quantitative research methods.* Proven ability to manage change in complex organisations.* Experience of working across organisational and managerial boundaries to achieve improved outcomesIn applying for this position, you consent to your personal data being shared with the specified employer and for your details to remain with GTS for as long as is necessary to process your application.
