THIS weekend will bring the long-awaited first showing of spoof TV show created by a Thurrock production company.

Eggplant Productions are a non-profit production team, based in the borough and recently they have been working on post-production of spoof of the popular TV show 'Come Dine With Me'.

The project, entitled 'Come Dine Avec Moi' was filmed in 2017 and will be shown for the first time on Facebook on Sunday (28 February) at 7pm. The show was filmed before COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing rules applied.

"This is a long-awaited production for us and our followers are so excited to finally see what we have been talking about for the last few years" explains Adam Holden, one of the contestants on the show and video editor for Eggplant Productions.

Asked what viewers can expect from the show, Spencer Aldous (also a contestant and co-founder) says that we are in for a treat! "We are three best friends who do not shy away from honesty when it comes to rating each other's meals. We have captured some truly amazing comic moments which we can't wait to share."

Completing the triumvirate of founder and contestant is Cody Gray who is already looking forward to more productions.

She told Thurrock Nub News: "We have had a lot of thoughts but at the moment with current restrictions we are thinking of something that could be remote. This isn't the last you will hear of Eggplant productions – this is just the beginning."

As well as enjoying Cody, Spencer and Adam on screen, you can look forward to welcoming London-based actor, Kilian McIntosh, who will be narrating the show with his witty voiceover. Eggplant Productions also welcomes the talent of local camera man, Kieran Dyer, who captures all the action.
