A NEW and innovative course is being set up and run in Thurrock to help educate people on the highly controversial cannabis plant.

The Tilbury-based project has support from local organisations to provide information and support those who use cannabis whilst making them aware of the dangers which are associated with the plant and criminal activity.

Ryan Kief who runs the projects says: "There is a huge stigma attached to cannabis and this is slowly fading. Many people still believe that cannabis is a gateway drug with no benefit and the course is designed to clear the blurred lines caused by prohibition."

After researching and taking courses in cannabis for the past four years due to an illness which left Ryan disabled he has decided to share his knowledge with the community.

"Education is key and with the possibility of a legal cannabis market here in the UK it could be this knowledge that provides the community with job opportunities."

If you are interested in the course and you would like to get more involved with the project contact Ryan via this website link. call 0203 488 5319 or call in to the One Community Centre on Dock Road in Tilbury.
