A NURSERY will be celebrating its first anniversary tomorrow after battling through the adversity of a year under the pandemic.

Explorers Aveley first opened its doors at the new community hub on the Recreation Ground off the High Street on 21 September 2020 and tomorrow will be celebrating the anniversary with a special event.

"We have stayed open throughout the whole pandemic, following government guidelines and to mark that we will be celebrating this whole week with out children," said the nursery's Claire Aylett.

"We would also like to thank our parents and carers for their support."
