Cricket is back at Belhus CC

LAST Saturday, Belhus CC 1s entertained Loughton at North Stifford in the league cup. Belhus CC batted first, Joyce Brothers, Danny with 84 and Joe with 62 runs took Belhus to 246 for 5. Loughton CC responded with 217 all out, three wickets apiece for Joe Joyce and Danny Norris. Belhus CC win by 29 runs. This second round league cup win takes Belhus CC into the last eight where their opponents will be Brentwood.
Belhus CC 2s travelled in the opposite direction to Loughton. Loughton CC batted first, Sami Rehman scored 100 and retired with Loughton CC making 256 for 4. Belhus CC 2s 177 for 7 with decent batting performances from Adam Dudmish scoring 36 and young Henry Overy 41 not out
A notable bowling performance from Tipu Samsuddin in the Belhus 3s v Horndon with four wickets and two wickets a piece for Ethan Barnett and Brandon Millard meant that Hordon were all out for 137. Belhus secured victory in scoring 138 for 6.
Bowling performances of the day were at the Ockendon Recreation Ground where the attack was lead by young guns, Sammy Fairweather 4 wickets and Lucas Barnett another 4 wickets. This meant that Belhus CC 4s batted out 148 to win with five wickets to spare.
Cricket fixtures all the time up to September for Belhus and this Saturday afternoon sees the start of the league with Belhus 1s travel to Essex Premier champions, Brentwood. Belhus 2s entertain Westcliff at North Stifford, the 3s are at Frenford with the 4s at the Ockendon Recreation ground for their first league game against Wickford.
