THERE were major delays on the eastbound A13 this evening (Friday, 28 May) following an accident on the approach to Sadler's Farm roundabout.

The road was completely blocked while emergency services cleared the scene and then a police investigation of the crash scene took place.

Traffic trailed back as far as Stanford-le-Hope at one point though by 8.30pm it was only as far back as the Five Bells interchange at Fobbing.

The road was still closed at the Pitsea interchange at 9.15am.
