Praise for students who are among community supporters as Thurrock Foodbank says thanks - and it sets up a wishlist

THURROCK Foodbank has thanked contributors for supporting its work - including youngsters from St Clere's School in Stanford-le-Hope and a borough medical centre.

Representatives of Thurrock Sai Centre visited the charity's Corringham HQ recently to present a significant donation and the students of St Clere's recenlty passed on £545 which students raised during the past academic year.

The Foodbank's business co-ordinator Sandraw Sawle said: "The donation from the Sai Centre was on occasion of Guru Purnima to celebrate when Jain and Hindus acknowledge their spiritual teachers.

"Thank you Thurrock Sai Centre for your kind and generous donation.

"And a massive thank you to the pupils of St Clere’s school who raised a massive £545 for Thurrock Foodbank within the last academic year.

"What a fantastic achievement in the difficult times, you all should be incredibly proud of yourselves.

"All at Thurrock Foodbank wish you the very best for your future."

Meanwhile the Foodbank has now created an Amazon wish list - whereby people can donate to it through the retails sales and distribution company.
