Weapon brandishing attackers targeted man in Tilbury

ATTACKERS using baseball bats or planks assaulted a man in a gang incident in Tilbury it has been reported.

Police are investigating following reports of an assault in Chesterton Way at around 10.15pm on Thursday, 6 May.

It was reported a group of men were assaulting another man, described as being armed with planks of wood or baseball bats.

Officers attended and found a man with injuries to his head.

A statement says: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we need anyone who saw anything or has any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage to come forward.
