A WOMAN has launched a search for the hero who she believes saved her life after a dramatic incident at Chafford Hundred Gorge today (Sunday, 18 April).

Demi Hilton was walking her dog Bobbi by the lake at the gorge when he jumped in the water and was in difficulties.

Demi takes up the story, saying: "I would really love the find the gentleman who saved mine and my dog's life today.

"Bobbi is a 16 year old Springer Spaniel who decided to drag me on his lead into the lake to chase a bird.

"He swam so far out and started to struggle and go under the water... my instant reaction was to swim out and save him but Bobbi isn't the littlest of dogs and I couldn't keep afloat holding him up in the freezing water.

"Without this man selflessly coming in to drag me and my dog out the water, God knows what would have happened to us.

"I didn't get a chance to get his name, he was with his two young children and partner.

"I would love to locate him and thank him personally for the lovely thing he dis for me and my dog today.

"Yes, I know I was very silly jumping in, but I couldn't watch my dog drown. He was on the lead the whole time but unfortunately caught me by surprise."

Anyone who has any informaction can contact Demi via her Facebook page here.
