RESIDENTS and motorists are remined that this weekend will bring another closure of the A13 to enable work on the widening project.

From 9pm on Friday, 25 September to a maximum of 5am on Monday, 28 September the A13 will be closed in both directions at the A128 junction (Orsett Cock roundabout) with diversions via the exit slip road, roundabout and entry slip road.

COUNCILLORS and residents in South Ockendon have called on Thurrock Council to take immediate action to improve road safety after a year seven student at the Harris Ockendon Academy was injured after being involved in a collision with a car outside the school this morning (Thursday, 24 September).

RESIDENTS of Thurrock who have lost their lives to the Covid-19 pandemic could be remembered through a permanent memorial created by the Thurrock Council.

Conservative councillor Joycelyn Redsell has suggested the council creates the memorial with "the intention that it could be a place for family and friends to reflect".
