The Port of Tilbury is are currently recruiting Apprentice Bulks Terminal Operatives to join its team.

The Apprenticeship Training Programme is focused around core skills and a commitment to learning is essential.

The role

We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious people who wish to undertake high quality training on a range of mechanical plant & equipment whilst gaining real work experiences at the Bulks Terminal.

You will be highly motivated, flexible and will be required to work shifts to meet business and customer needs including overtime.

You must be at least 18 years old and have a full current driving licence.

About the role

What will I learn?

This is a great opportunity to learn to operate plant in a busy working environment as well as learning many other ancillary duties. At the end of your 2 year Programme, subject to successful completion of the Apprenticeship Programme, you will be a fully trained Operative.

You will be handling a wide range of mechanical handling equipment to exacting quality assurance and cargo care tolerances whilst complying strictly with Company Health & Safety policies and procedures.

What do I need?

·      You must be comfortable working in an outdoors environment in all weathers and at height and in confined spaces, always demonstrating a full commitment to your health and safety responsibilities.

·      You must be at least 18 years of age and have a full driving licence
