I'm working with an award-winning consultancy in Essex who are looking to bring in a Senior Building Surveyor. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Building Surveyor who wants more autonomy and the chance to make a real impact. You'll be trusted to take ownership of projects, develop client relationships, and play a part in mentoring junior colleagues.
The workload is varied - as Senior Building Surveyor, you'll be involved in:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs)
- Contract administration
- Dilapidations
- Section 20 works
- Insurance reinstatement assessments
- General building consultancy instructions
What they're looking for:
- MRICS-qualified Building Surveyor with at least 3 years' post-qualification experience
- Broad technical background with proven delivery across commercial and residential projects
- Strong commercial mindset - spotting opportunities, not just delivering projects
- Confidence in building and maintaining client relationships (and ideally bringing some existing contacts)
- Ability to take responsibility for projects and mentor junior surveyors
