We are currently seeking a diligent and caring Housekeeper to ensure our hospice remains a clean, welcoming place for everyone.

As a Housekeeper at St. Luke's Hospice, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our facilities. Your work will have a direct impact on the comfort and well-being of our patients and their families, making this position highly rewarding.
Contract Details
- Salary: £20,374 to £20,647 per annum (pro rata) / £10.42 - £10.56 per hour
- Contract: Permanent, Part-Time
- Hours: 16 Hours Per Week, with shifts including weekends where necessary
- Location: St. Luke's Hospice at Basildon and Thurrock, with potential requirements to work across various sites to meet service needs
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hospice, including patient rooms, common areas, and staff offices.
- Following infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Stocking and organising supplies in all areas.
- Communicating effectively with other team members and departments to address any cleanliness or supply needs.
- Assisting in the laundry service where necessary, ensuring that all textiles are cleaned and handled properly.
- Preparation of light meals and drinks for patients, when necessary.
About You:
- Previous experience in a cleaning or housekeeping role, preferably within a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of infection control practices.
- Able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a committed approach to maintaining high standards.
- Friendly and respectful, with the ability to interact positively with patients, families, and staff.
- Must have a full driving license and access to a car.
- Literate and numerate ability to use IT systems.
