The role: We are looking for a confident and commercially minded individual to join this business as a Trading Underwriter, based near to Basildon. This is a key role supporting the growth and retention of home business across multi-product and multi-distribution channels, including e-trade, sub-coverholders and open market brokers. Working closely with brokers and internal colleagues, you will underwrite existing and renewal business within agreed authority levels, helping to maximise conversion, retention and income while delivering excellent service at all times.About you: You will have a proven track record in home underwriting within an MGA, insurance company or Lloyd's syndicate, strong broker relationship skills, and excellent numerical, analytical and planning ability. You should be at least Cert CII qualified, with the desire to continue studying. This is an excellent opportunity for an underwriter who enjoys trading, building strong broker relationships and contributing to income, conversion and retention objectives in a professional, genuinely service-focused environment.
