Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining HGV's. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems. The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that all equipment is safe and operational. 28 Days paid Holiday Duties Conduct thorough inspections of HGV vehicles to identify issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs. Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment. Repair or replace faulty components. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance service quality. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology. Skills Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Good communication skills to interact with clients and colleagues. Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology or mechanics are advantageous. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential for the right candidate willing to learn.
