NEW plans have been submitted to build homes on a rural site on the edge of the Thurrock boundary, bordering on Basildon.

The site, Greenwise Nurseries on Vange Park Road close to the Five Bells roundabout over the A13 has seen several applications to Thurrock Council for a number of schemes over recent years.

Most recently, in 2018, permission was granted for the site to be used to be host to 31 custom-build homes.

However, the option was never taken up and now developers want to put up to 60 houses on the green belt site.

Eighteen will still be custom-build and 21 will be affordable homes.

The application will be debated by Thurrock council's planning committee next week. The full report councillors will be asked to consider can be found via [L] https://democracy.thurrock.gov.uk/documents/s31041/20.01662.OUT%20Greenwise%20Nurseries%20Vange%20Park%20Road%20Vange%20SS16%205LA.pdf [L+]this link.
