RESIDENTS in the Parsonage Road area of Grays have expressed concern after what appears to be oil started bubbling up through the ground.

Fire service crews attended the scene at an adjacent oil storage site.

An Essex County Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters were called to a fuel spill in Parsonage Road, West Thurrock at 10:18am.

"On arrival, crews reported that diesel and oil was rising through floodwater in the drains and have left the scene in the care of the local authority and Environment Agency."

The seepage is shown in this video link.
