Plan to bring historic Smithy building back to life as a home

By Neil Speight 15th Aug 2020

PLANS have been submitted to turn a historic Smithy into a new home alongside a new dwelling and alongside an old house.

The Smithy, on Brentwood Road close to Bulphan, dates back to the 1850s and in the application to develop the site the applicant says it would have been of great local importance due to the work carried out there.

As part of the redevelopment of the building, it is planned to restore some of the building's former industrial features and incorporate them into the design.

Full and detailed explanations, with pictures, of what is planned on the site can be found here.

The full planning application, and the opportunity to comment, can be found via the link below.
