A BOROUGH resident has raised an alert after observing and stopping a delivery driver dumping cardboard boxes on the side of the road.

Richard Imber was returning to his Corringham home from a shift at Vopak when he observed a driver dumping parcels.

He immediately challenged the driver who had stopped on Oliver Road in West Thurrock. When questioned by Richard he picked up the boxes and left the scene without responding to

The video has been passed on to Amazon and Thurrock Council and they have been asked to investigate and comment. Mr Imber's video has raised the question of what happened to the items that were in the boxes!

He says: "At first I thought it was just fly-tipping, then I thought there might be more to it.

"I hate fly-tippers. Thurrock might not be the most picturesque area but we still need to keep it clean and respectful. There's no other comment to add, the video speaks volumes!"
