Windrush exhibition now open with its creator presenting online feature tomorrow

THE Tilbury Bridge Walkway of Memories exhibition at the Tilbury Cruise Terminal, which commemorates the arrival of the MV Windrush at the Thurrock port on 22 June 1948 and the following generations is now open to the public.
The exhibition by artist Everton Wright (known as EVEWRIGHT) was officially opened at a celebration event last month attended by dignitaries including mayor Cllr Sue Shinnick and Thurrock MP Jackie Doyle-Price.
Members of the public can now visit and opening times are Monday - Friday: 10am to 4pm and Saturday & Sunday: 10am to 6pm. Entry is free.
Tomorrow (Friday, 9 July) there will be an online event featuring EVEWRIGHT from 7 to 8pm in which he will talk about the exhibition and the inspiration he took from the Windrush arrival and following generations to create it.
