A THURROCK businessman is pioneering a 'group-buying' scheme to make solar power more accessible and cheaper for borough residents.

Harry Pollington is the CEO of Solar Power UK which has launched a project in the area to enable local people to get together to install solar power and storage systems at lower price.

Mr Pollington, fellow director Caleb Maloney and their company bring together potential buyers and not only manage the financial arrangements, bring buyers together to get bigger discounts, but then oversee and install the equipment.
