Apprenticeships on offer at Port of Tilbury

APPRENTICESHIPS are on offer at the Port of Tilbury.

A statement from Fort Ports, operator of the port, says: "We are looking for enthusiastic, ambitious people who wish to undertake high quality training on a wide range of mechanical plant and equipment whilst gaining real work experiences across all of our operating assets.

"This is a great opportunity to learn to operate plant in many diverse environments as well as learning many other ancillary duties.

"At the end of your two year programme, subject to successful completion of the apprenticeship programme, you will be a fully trained operative and will join the many before you who have achieved similar skills and experiences having progressed through supervisory grades to senior managerial positions.

"The Apprenticeship Training Programme is focused around core skills and a commitment to learning is essential. You will be highly motivated, flexible and will be required to work as part of various teams across the port."

Candidates must be over 18 years of age and hold a current driving licence.
