AMONG events taking place in Thurrock this weekend will be a celebration of Black History month at Tilbury's cruise terminal.

From 11am to 3pm on Saturday artist EVEWRIGHT, the creator of the Tilbury Bridge Walkway of Memories – a site-specific art installation, comprised of images, documents, audio recordings and memorabilia adorning the bridge that passengers of the Empire Windrush first walked across as they entered Britain in 1948 – will be on site.
