999 officers make it a special birthday for Skye

By Neil Speight 1st May 2020

POLICE officers and firefighters have made the eleventh birthday of a Thurrock girl extra special - even though it came in lockdown.

Skye Boylan of Mill Lane, South Stifford, was stunned to see officers in full uniform and equioment turn up outside her door to celebrate her birthday.

The surprise was arranged by ward councillor Qaisar Abbas after he had been contacted by mum Michelle Blee to see if he could do something special as Skye couldn't get out for her special day.

Michelle said "This was absolutely amazing. This is an unforgettable moment for my daughter.

"Thank you so much to all the police and fire service officers for making this possible for my daughter.

"I also thank Cllr Abbas who arranged it all for us and made my daughter's birthday so special at this difficult time."
