999 teams take to pitch for charity challenge

A CHARITY football match will take place this evening (Wednesday, 2 February) between teams representing two of the emergency services.

East Thurrock United's Rookery Hill ground will host the match between the fire and ambulance service.

Gates open at 6pm, the match kicks off at seven and afterwards there will be a raffle drawn in the club bar with many prizes.

All proceeds will go to the Firefighters Charity and the Ambulance Staff Charity.

Admission is £3 for adults, £1.50 for children.
