A NEW business will open its doors at Walton Hall Farm, Linford on Saturday (18 October), fulfilling the dream of a borough woman.

Bethany Wallace is the driving force behind the Wallace Kitchen Biscuit Lounge and Shop.

She says: "What started in my home kitchen during lockdown has grown into something I'm so proud of a beautiful new shop where people can buy hand-decorated biscuits and take part in biscuit-decorating workshops for all ages.

"It's designed to be a calm, welcoming space where people can slow down, create, and connect."

Saturday's opening at 11am is the end of a hectic period for Bethany who says: "On Tuesday, 30 September, I was just scrolling through Facebook when I came across a post about a unit available at Walton Hall Farm.

"Owning a shop was never something I'd consciously wished for, but the moment I saw that post, something ignited in me. Even before viewing the unit, every part of me knew this was right and by the third of October i had the keys and paperwork was done

"I'm usually someone who overthinks the what ifs, but not this time. This time, I'm asking myself what's the best that can happen?

"This doesn't feel like a risk. It feels like levelling up.

"I'm a proud biscuit artist who gets so much joy from what I do, and now I get to share that joy with even more people. I'm inspired daily by so many incredible individuals, and I hope that through this new space, I can inspire others too.

"The Biscuit Lounge & Workshops will be so much more than just painting biscuits it's a space for creativity, connection, and community. A place to unwind, be yourself, and find a little joy in the everyday.

"Maybe you'll pop in with a friend for a cuppa and a biscuit, or maybe you'll join one of our workshops for something fun and different to do with the kids. However you come to us, my hope is that you'll feel at home.

"I want this to be a safe, welcoming haven for all."

The opening day will include free tasters while stock last a chance to explore the space, and a warm welcome for everyone.
