THERE were plenty of happy smiling faces at the Morrisons cafe in Grays yesterday (Tuesday, 6 December) when it hosted another of its community lunches.

The store's community champion, Tarnya Bennett says: "And that's a wrap! Our guests enjoyed a delicious two course Christmas dinner - Roast Turkey with all the trimmings followed by Christmas pud and then finished up with mince pies and no Christmas dinner is complete without a few After Eight mints. We had a fabulous afternoon and it was a wonderful start to the festive season.

"Huge thanks to John from Riverside Community Grays Big Local and Ren, an amazing Local Area Coordinator.

"Special thanks to our Lela who cooked and served our delicious food. Along with the rest of the cafe team that ensured the afternoon was a great success.

"We look forward to the next community lunch which will be the first Tuesday in February."

The community lunches offer memebers of the community to come together and enjoy being in the compnay of others.

The cost is normally £10 for a two course mal and bingo but the Christ event was sponsored by the Riversode Community Big Local team.
