MOTORISTS and residents are reminded that the A13 will be closed in both directions all weekend between the A1089 (Tilbury) and the A128 (Orsett Cock) junctions for road surfacing works.

In addition, the A1089 northbound link road to the A13 eastbound carriageway will also be closed.

The closures start at 9pm tonight (Friday, 11 February) and will remain in place until 5am on Monday, 14 February.

During the closure, traffic will be diverted via the A13, M25, A127, A128 and vice versa. A separately signed alternative route will be available for vehicles which are not permitted to use motorway diversion routes.

To minimise the impact on residential areas, road users are urged not to divert through nearby towns and villages.
