A130 closed after fatal crash

ANY drivers planning to head north from Thurrock or Basildon areas using the A130 this morning (Thursday, 26 March) are advised to consider another route, at least until mid morning.
Police have closed the A130 northbound carriageway between Howe Green and Rettendon while officers carry out enquiries following an accident in the early hours of today. The closure is expected to last several hours.
At 7am queueing traffic was reported on the A130 tailing back to a mile and a half on the A130, and two miles on Main Road up to Howe Green taking another 20 minutes.

It was reported a cyclist and two vehicles were involved in a collision at about 12.20am on this carriageway.
Police say: "We want to hear from anyone who may have dashcam footage relating to this incident, or may have seen a cyclist in black clothing on a white mountain bike between the A1114 in Chelmsford and the A130 before this incident.
