AMAZON'S Fulfilment Centre at Tilbury will host a free event on Tuesday, 3 March aimed at helping small businesses and entrepreneurs across the South East to grow online.

The Amazon Academy South East in Tilbury will feature workshops, keynote speeches and networking opportunities with organisations including 'South East Business', 'Exporting is Great', 'Be the Business', the 'ICAEW' and more, together with advice from successful entrepreneurs including Gamely Games and Coconut Merchant.

Guests can register for the free event via the red information button below.

Amazon Academy, run in collaboration with small business support network Enterprise Nation, will offer entrepreneurs in the South East insights on how to improve customer experience, boost export sales and grow their business through e-commerce.

"The South East is home to many of the UK's most forward thinking, inventive SMEs and entrepreneurs and we're looking forward to welcoming them to the Amazon Academy South East at our Tilbury fulfilment centre," said Carlos Guijarro Benito, Site Leader at Amazon in Tilbury.

Emma Jones, founder, small business support network Enterprise Nation, added: "The aim of the Amazon Academy programme is to equip businesses in the South East with the tools to join the eight in ten UK companies who exported products and services last year by selling on Amazon. We want to help fuel their growth by providing them with the knowledge and capability to create new jobs, grow revenues and increase profits."

Since launching in 2016, the Amazon Academy has helped more than 3,000 SMEs and entrepreneurs across the UK learn how to grow their businesses through greater digital adoption.

It forms a part of the company's ongoing efforts to help SMEs from across the UK grow their businesses, in particular by boosting their e-commerce and export sales.

The event will also offer guests the opportunity to attend a behind-the-scenes tour of the Amazon Tilbury centre. Event attendees will see what happens when you click 'buy' on Amazon.

Members of the public who can't attend the Academy can also sign up for a free tour of Amazon at www.amazon.co.uk/fctours. The tours are open to anyone over the age of six years old. Each tour lasts about one hour, and the maximum number of participants is 25 people.
