An afternoon of note for Re-engage guests as new year got underway to a very happy start
THE Re-engage Thurrock charity branch recently held their first tea party of the year at Stifford Clays Social club when guests enjoyed musical performances and celebrated birthdays for four members.
The charity provides care, comfort and friendship for lonely, vulnerable and elderly people in the region by organising social events.
This latest one was organised by group co-ordinator Clarissa, who said: "Thank you so much to TIME, together in musical expression for the most fantastic entertainment.
"We celebrated four birthdays.
"Thank you to all our wonderful volunteers for your kindness to our guests. Thank you to Sally for working so hard in the kitchen along with all the volunteers who got stuck with the washing up, you know who you are!
"What a fun afternoon and a great way to start 2025 and our 10th year."
Regional organiser Loraine Coleman added: "What a fabulous tea party to start Re-engage Thurrock off in 2025.
"The happy photographs tell it all.
"Thank you to Clarissa and Maggie for organising and all the volunteers for helping and driving guests.
"And a very big thank you to Rob and Emily from TIME Together in Musical Expression Charity for their wonderful entertainment today and volunteering their time to us.
"To see our tea party guests up and dancing is amazing.
"Thank you to Julia from Stifford Clays Social Club for gifting their lovely hall for our tea party. Looking forward to many more special tea parties this year. Happy New Year to everyone."
