Traders and residents in Grays have once again questioned the commitment of Thurrock Council to keeping the town clean and environmentally safe.

The issue featured on Thurrock Nub News earlier this year.

Not for the first time a service alley behind High Street shops was filmed with overflowing bins and uncollected rubbish.

This is the scene in Grays this morning (Thursday, 14 May).

A trader, angry at the lack of effort by the council said: "They are so quick in sending bill reminders and court proceedings but never do the bare minimum of their job."
