THE owners of a stables destroyed by fire are appealing to the community for help as they try to rebuild.

Three horses were freed before the flames took hold at the stables on St Marys Lane, West Horndon, and two others were in fields so no animals were hurt.

One of the owners is Amber Bashford who says: "We have all lost absolutely everything.

"Thank god all the horses are OK as my two and another horse from the yard were all let out of their stables at some point during the fire.

"If anyone has anything you could donate/selling very cheap to us.

"I have set up a go fund me page for anyone who wants to help. I will split the money between all five owners so we can go and buy all other essentials for our horses. We are going to need wheelbarrows, feed bins, mucking out equipment, grooming kits, tack , rugs and other essentials.

"Thank you to everyone for all your help!"
