Beyond boundaries with DP World in Stanford-le-Hope
By Nub News Reporter 23rd Jun 2026
STANFORD-le-Hope Cricket Club became the latest stopping point today (Tuesday, 23 June) for DP World's award-winning Beyond Boundaries Initiative, which provides cricket equipment and facilities to help grow the game at grassroots level.
As the Global Logistics Partner of the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup, DP World has delivered the 15th container packed with cricket equipment, improving facilities at the club to help grow the game at grassroots level.
The event also marks the official opening of three new professional synthetic cricket nets, funded through the London Gateway Freeport Community Investment Fund, which will benefit both the cricket club and the wider local community.
The Recreation Ground in Stanford, which also plays host to Stanford Rugby and Bowls clubs is within sight and sound of DP World's London Gateway Port and Logistics park.

Attendees included local players, volunteers and community representatives including borough deputy mayor Cllr Richard Poyntz, a local Stanford councillor, alongside senior leaders from DP World and the ICC.

The event featured a keynote address from England Women's Cricket legend Ebony Rainford-Brent, MBE, a former Englan international and a commentator. She is also chair of the African-Caribbean Engagement (ACE) programme, and Non-Executive Director the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). She was also captain of Surrey Women's team and first Director of Women's Cricket at the county club.
Youngsters from the club were interviewed as part of DP World's coverage of the day, with 12-year-old Grace Robinson, who has been steeped in the Stanford club through her dad Andrew and brothers since birth.
Youngsters from local primary schools shared in the distribution of 250 set of cricket kits.
And the nets were opened - thanks to a special DP World delivery.
