Bid for seven new homes as part of Stanford shop renovation project

AN application has been received that will see a row of shops in Stanford-le-Hope renovated and seven new homes created in the heart of the town.
The plan is for the redevelopment of shops and buildings above that are numbered 1 to 6 on the Green.
The proposal put to Thurrock Council comprises renovation of existing retail facades, improved rear access, parking and servicing, construction of a side extension and the alteration of the roof will allow for the provision of nine dwelling.
The existing structure currently accommodates two homes. A similar application was approved in 2017 but permission has since lapsed.
