PLANS have been submitted to Thurrock Council to demolish an existing house in Chadwell St Mary and replace it with a block of three apartments.

Initially the developers wanted to make the new development of four apartments but have now reduced this to three, consisting of one singled bedroomed home and two two bedroom flats, after initial discussions with the council's planning team who regarded four apartments as 'over development'.

Architects who have drawn up the scheme for the site on Morant Road say the new building will be of a contemporary style, designed with materials that reflect the existing local character.

Full details of the scheme and the opportunity to comment can be found via this link.
