EMERGENCY services, including the air ambulance, were deployed to an area around Grays rail station this afternoon.

It is understood by Thurrock Nub News that the matter relates to a medical emergency and locally it has been reported that despite the best efforts of all concerned - which included police, East of England ambulance Service and Essex firefighters, a person has died.

The alarm was raised shortly after 4pm.

Emergency service have been contacted for information but around 5pm it was reported the incdient has come to a close with many of the 999 teams leaving the scene.
