Biker died in crash on exit from QEII bridge

POLICE have confirmed the death of a motorbike rider following a crash on the exist from the QEII bridge yesterday (Wednesday, 30 October).

The rider, in his fifties, died after what Kent police describe as 'a serious collisionon the A282. 

The force says its officers were alerted shortly after 2.30pm following the incident the clockwise carriageway of the A282. 

They attended the scene, near to Dartford, alongside paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.

Despite their best efforts the motorcyclist was confirmed dead at the scene. 

Kent Police said the victim's next of kin had been made aware. The crash led to the closure of the road until 11:45pm, around nine hours after the initial collision.

A spokesperson for Kent Police said: "Anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has relevant dashcam footage, is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 or email [email protected], quoting reference KH/DC/107/24 .
