MEMBERS of Grays Parish Church have met with their bishop to discuss damage to the St Peter & St Paul's building caused by recent storms.

During the most severe weather high winds lifted the roof up and the north side came down on top of the south side leaving the south side damaged and in danger of collapse.

Scaffolding is due to be erected as an emergency measure.

Some community events normally held at the church have been cancelled.

Bishop Gulnar Eleanor Francis-Dehqani met with parishioners to discuss the damage and plot a course of action.
