Boost for borough mental health charity

A THURROCK mental health charity has received a donation of £1,000 from Amazon's fulfilment centre in Tilbury.

Thurrock and Brentwood Mind is a mental health charity founded in 1980 to develop and deliver high quality services with, and for, people with mental health problems living in Thurrock.

The charity will use the donation to deliver wellbeing activities and stress management courses.

Ruzanna Sargsyan, General Manager at Amazon in Tilbury, said: "We are pleased to support Thurrock and Brentwood Mind with this donation to boost the vital services they provide to people in our community."

 Michaela White, Head of Services from Thurrock and Brentwood Mind, added: "On behalf of myself and the rest of the staff fromThurrock and Brentwood Mind, I want to say a big thank you to Ruzanna and the team at Amazon for their support."

The donation to Thurrock and Brentwood Mind was made as part of Amazon's programme to support the communities around its operating locations across the UK.

Amazon is providing disadvantaged students with online STEM courses, as well as teaming up with charity partner Magic Breakfast and delivering more than five million healthy breakfasts to families in England
