THURROCK Lakeside Travelodge has been selected as one of 11 hotels in the company's nationwide chain to re-open this week to support key workers within the local community.

And as the move to a post coronavirus lockdown era moves closer, more announcements have been made about Thurrock venues reopening to the wider public.

Orsett Hall Hotel has been offering accommodation to key workers but its other local facilities, including the Garden Brasserie, Cafe Sartoria and Orsett Hall Spa have been closed.

The spa will remain closed but Orsett Hall is now open for bookings for an overnight stay, afternoon tea, lunch or dinner from 4 July.

Cafe Sartoria will also re-open its doors on this date and the hotel's popular Sunday lunches will also be back from Sunday, 5 July.
