Borough raises Commonwealth flag

THURROCK Mayor Clrr Sue Little raised the Commonwealth Flag to mark Commonwealth Day this morning ( Monday, 11 March) outside the offices of Thurrock Council.

A short service attended by local residents, including service veterans, and representatives of local organisations, attended a short service that prceeded the flagraising, led by Mayor's Chaplin Rev Darren Barlow.

Council leader Cllr Andrew Jefferies also spoke.

The service was folowed by refreshments for those who attended in the Mayor's Parlour.
