Borough set to mark world day

By Neil Speight 29th Jan 2020

PLANS are being made to celebrate the World Day of Prayer 2020 in Thurrock.

The World Day of Prayer is a women led, global, ecumenical movement which is celebrated all over the world on the first Friday in March each year.

This year the service has been prepared by Christian women of Zimbabwe.

The World Day of Prayer committee in Grays has organised two events on the theme "Rise! Take your mat and walk."

In Grays they will be celebrating on Friday, 6 of March at 2pm at St Thomas of Canterbury Church, East Thurrock Road and at 7.30pm at Grays Methodist Church on Lodge Lane, Grays.

Everybody is welcome, there will be refreshments served after each service.
