Businesses invited to apply for energy-saving grants

THURROCK Council is promoting an initiative for local business who want to improve their energy efficiency.

Grant frunding has been made available and businesses could receive between £2,000 and £8,000 of funding towards capital costs in excess of £4,000 for new, more efficient equipment.

If you are interestedthis linked form will enable you to register to register and apply for one of the council's 50 per cent match-funded grants.

The grant programme is funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which is part of the government's Levelling Up' programme and was established to aid Thurrock businesses in moving towards greener, more sustainable practices.

Grant applicants must be small or medium sized businesses registered at a Thurrock address and actively trading.

Seven grants have been awarded so far, including £8,000 to a local nursery who want to install solar panels and £4,247.50 to a vehicle repair shop for new energy efficient lighting.
