Busy night ahead in Purfleet

THE next meeting and AGM for Purfleet-on-Thames Community Forum will take place be From 7:30pm on 28 January at St. Stephen's Church, London Road, Purfleet.

It will be a busy evening as the forum will be electing a committee for 2020 followed by speaker Gavin Beard talking on the councils new community led adult social care programme.

There will be updates from Purfleet Centre Regeneration Ltd about the regeneration of Purfleet after planning approval was granted for the first phase was earlier this month.

Jason Robinson MD of Urban Catalyst (who are working with PCRL) will give an update on the overall masterplan.

Duncan Innes, project director for Swan Housing Group will be talking about the delivery of the first phase.

PC Neil Brand will give updates on policing and there will be comments from local councillors.

Forum vice-chair Trevor Batchelor says: "2020 looks to be a great year for Purfleet; planning approval given for the regeneration to begin and the proposed name change Purfleet to Purfleet-on-Thames goes to Full Council for a final decision on 29 January."
