Busy times for community-based police officers across Thurrock

THURROCK area police officers have been out and about the borough recently and have a number of public engagement events scheduled in the coming weeks.

The division's latest Dispatch newsletter contains details of local policing activities, including Neighbourhood Policing Team officers swapping their patrol routes for an assembly hall as they went back to school visited Years 2 and 3 at Purfleet Primary Academy!

Officers also attended Abbots Hall school fete in Stanford-le-Hope to interact with local resdients.

Community Safety & Engagement Officers have been out and about at local nature centres to investigate reports of anti-social behaviour. Visits included patrols at RSPB Rainham Marshes and Essex Wildlife Trust's Chafford Gorge site.

Thurrock Local Policing Team held traffic-related policing patrols in the Lodge Lane area of Grays on two days to ensure safe driving in the area and to tackle vehicle theft.

The team spent three hours each day at the location which was busy with local Lakeside shoppers.

They stopped 38 vehicles and spoke to drivers about a variety of issues which resulted in 10 traffic enforcement tickets being issued.

Saturday 26 July 10:30am to 12pm

St Peter & St Paul's Church, Horndon on the Hill

Tuesday 29 July 10:30am to 11:30am
