C2c suspends all train services in midst of storm

By Neil Speight 19th Feb 2022

C2c Rail announced just before 3pm today that it has suspended all its services due to the effects of Storm Eunice.

An announcement said: "Due to severe weather all lines are closed.

"Train services running across the whole c2c network have been cancelled or suspended. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

"Services are currently suspended on all routes due to multiple obstructions on the tracks and the overhead wires at many locations across the c2c route.

"c2c services are expected to remain suspended for some time. We are working closely with Network Rail to ensure our routes are clear of all debris and if it becomes safe to do so we may run trains, however this will be a severly reduced service at is at risk of further disruption due to the ongoing severe weather."
