RESIDENTS have spoken of their concern after the latest incident of stone throwing on a local estate built in former quarry.

Many houses in the Caspian Way area of Purfleet-on-Thames sit adjacent to cliffs and a path that runs from Tank Hill.

Over a years since the estate was built there have been a number of instances of people throwing items from above down onto the house and last week saw a surge in incidents, with damage caused to several properties.

A number of homes were damaged including a conservatory roof being smashed.

Residents have reported the incidents, which also included a person narrowly being missed by a missile to police, and it is hoped that there will be an increase in police presence in the area to deter the offenders.
