A Commedia Christmas Carol is back, now in its fifth year.

The festive favourite is set to transform Thurrock churches into little theatres, just for a day.

A spokesperson from the company said: "Accompany Scrooge as he rediscovers the true meaning of Christmas. His transformation is bound to put that warm fuzzy feeling into your heart as you prepare for your family Christmas.

"Meet Freddy, Fezziwig and the Crachits as their plight softens Scrooge's hardened heart. Be inspired by this inventive, retelling of the most enduring ghost story.

"Children's tickets are from just £5. Family friendly, affordable fun."

The cast, trained, educated and living in Thurrock, are helping to change the theatrical landscape for schools and communities in Thurrock. "We are taking live theatre back to the people" added the spokesperson.
