Car fire on A13

FIREFIGHTERS and police worked together to manage a car fire that blocked the A13 westbound near the Orsett Cock services on Friday (4 September) evening.

The incident happened around 7.30pm when the car caught light and pulled up on the carriageway.

Police on scene managing the traffic while firefighters extinguished the fire by 7:55pm, and the A13 was reopened shortly afterwards.
